Sabarimala Project

Sannidhanam Makeover

A two-phase brass-work renovation of the Sreekovil at Sabarimala, sponsored and executed by Sri Ayyappa Seva Samaj, Nairobi.

A blessing rarely granted

From Nairobi to Sabarimala

During a 2014 visit, the Main Thantry (Melshanti) of Sabarimala and the Devaswom Board Secretary requested Sri Ayyappa Seva Samaj to sponsor renovation around the Sreekovil (Sanctum Sanctorum) of the Lord Ayyappa Temple at Sabarimala.

The work was completed in two phases. The official consecration was conducted on 10 November 2015, with Kerala’s Minister of Devaswam Sri Siva Kumar presiding. The Samaj viewed this sponsorship as a singular blessing — opportunities to contribute to Sabarimala are rarely granted to organisations outside India.
